聯校攝影展於二零一四年五月十二日至五月十八日假屯門大會堂展覽廳舉行,由六間官立中學聯合參與,六間官立中學包括:九龍工業學校、屯門官立中學、元朗公立中學、沙田官立中學、新界鄉議局元朗區中學及趙聿修紀念中學。攝影展首天之開幕暨頒獎典禮承蒙教育局副局長楊潤雄太平紳士擔任主禮嘉賓並致訓辭,令典禮增光不少。
楊潤雄副局長致辭時, 讚賞是次攝影展的舉辦形式富新意及饒有意義,他指出「全球化」是世界共同關注的議題,亦是通識科的其中一個重要課題,聯校攝影展可讓同學透過其靈活的攝影手法,反映自己對「全球化」的看法,不同學校的同學及公眾觀賞了相片後,會被相片深刻的影像吸引,而對「全球化」作出個人的反思;楊副局長更鼓勵同學積極發揮是次學習經歷的「自主學習」精神,以迎接將來面對社會工作的挑戰,更重要的是繼續培養「認識社會,關心世界」的情操。
是次的主辦學校為屯門官立中學,本校校長江德霞女士在致謝辭時首先肯定了「全球化」主題的意義,她指出「全球化」乃通識科其中一門重要課題,各界對於「全球化」的研究亦與日俱增,而且「全球化」更與同學日常生活息息相關,例如從同學作品中呈現的題材:在港的跨國食店、跨國品牌,乃至同學們喜愛的流行娛樂文化等,都展現了「全球化」對本土文化的交會和衝擊。
江德霞校長認為利用攝影展作為平台,可使同學展示其對「全球化」的觀察成果,攝影展除了別具意義外,更能增加同學的學習興趣。江校長同時也感謝了六間官校的積極參與,使同學間能互相觀摩,互相切磋,透過生動的相片作為媒介,參與的同學除可提升攝影技巧外,更可擴闊視野。她也希望同學及觀眾觀賞作品後,能提昇大家關心社會,關心全球的意識。
頒獎及致辭後,六所學校的校長、老師、同學及來賓都駐足欣賞相片,高興地到自己喜愛的攝影作品前留影,也喜見不同學校的校長、老師及同學交流對相片的看法,氣氛熱鬧。
The 「Joint School Photo Exhibition 」 was organized in the exhibition hall of Tuen Mun Town Hall during 12th May to 18th May, 2014. This photo exhibition was jointly organized by six government secondary schools. The six government schools are: Kowloon Technical School, Tuen Mun Government Secondary School, Yuen Long Public Secondary School, Sha Tin Government Secondary School, N.T.Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School and Chiu Lut Sau Memorial Secondary School. On the first day of the exhibition, there were opening and prize presentation ceremonies. It was our great honor to have the Deputy Minister of the Education Bureau, Mr. Kevin Yeung JP as the guest of honor of the ceremony. His speech inspired the audience a lot.
In the speech of Mr. Yeung, he praised that this photo exhibition was very meaningful and innovative in terms of its organization. He pointed out that "Globalization" is a topic that concerns the whole world and it is one of the major topics in Liberal Studies. The Joint School Photo Exhibition allowed students to review the way they think about "Globalization" through various ways of photo shooting. Students from different schools were fascinated by the impressive images after seeing the photos, and then they did self-reflection about globalization. Mr. Yeung also encouraged students to make good use of the "Self Learning" spirit in their learning process, in order to prepare for the challenges in the future workplace. Most importantly, they need to continuously build up their mind of "To know the society, to care for the world".
The chief organizer of this event was Tuen Mun Government Secondary School. The school's principal, Ms Kong Tak Ha, agreed to the significant meaning of the theme "Globalization" in her vote of thanks. She pointed out that "Globalization" is one of the most important topics in Liberal Studies. More and more parties are involved in the research of globalization. Moreover, "Globalization" relates to students' daily lives. Examples can be found in the images of students: International restaurants in Hong Kong, International brands, culture of entertainments that students like. These pictures displayed the rendezvous and impact of the globalization to the local culture.
Ms Kong thought that using the photo exhibition as a platform, students can show their observation of "Globalization". Apart from photos exhibiting, it can also increase the learning interest of students too. Ms Kong also thanked the active participation of the six government secondary schools. The exhibition enabled students to learn from each other. Using the lively photos as a medium, not only can participated students increase their photo shooting techniques, but also broaden their horizons. She hoped that after students and audience saw the photos, they will care more about the society and the world.
After the prize presentation and vote of thanks section, the principals, teachers and students from the six schools all went to see the photos. Some of them even took pictures in front of the photos they like. It was also very happy to see that principals, teachers and students from different schools exchanged their way of thinking about the photos. The atmosphere was very happy and harmonious.
